My journey to reduce weight

😯 I was shocked when I saw 81 kg of my weight at the mid of October when I returned from Belgium after attending Odoo Experience 2024. I decided to reduce my weight and started something I never imagined I could continue till today.

I am now at 76 kg and almost halfway through my journey to balance my weight. This is a challenging journey for a person like me who is fond of different kinds of yummy foods. 😋

In my consulting work and business, I am usually quite inactive physically, even after trying many hacks (advised by social media health-conscious people) to gain more momentum during work hours. 😕

What works for me (don't consider it as advice, and it might not work for you) is FASTING.

I have followed this for the last many weeks ...

➡️ Every Monday, Only Water

➡️ Every Friday, Only Fruit / one meal only

The first few Mondays were very painful. 😥

But it became bearable once it started paying off.

Every week, ~500 gm of weight is consistently reduced.  🏆

My target is to settle at 71 kg with a no-hurry, no-worries approach and of course, with your best wishes ... 😊

The best thing about FASTING is that you don't need to do anything (except bear hunger for a while) - jock a part; I realized after a few weeks that fasting helps me in different ways apart from just reducing weight, like getting more clarity in thoughts, reducing the habit of instant gratification, and rebuilding a habit of feeling the pain to build something better (no 'pain' no 'gain' - you know 😉).

Apart from fasting, i think a few other factors also help in my journey to reduce weight.

🌟 I want to thank my Wife for making sure our homemade food becomes more healthier and more testier.

🌟 Thanks to a group of Cricket fan people (who all own tech companies), with them, I used to play cricket for three hours every week. Thank you, bhaio!!

🌟 The third one seems less effective, but I should mention here my habit of morning walk, and Sun Salutation.

🌟 My business partner, Bhaumin Chorera, provides active support in this journey in a very interesting way - I will share this someday.

I am approaching 40 very soon and sharing this in the hope that my experience might help someone in their thirties or twenties 😊
